At Chabi Chic, each creation is the result of artisanal know-how passed down from generation to generation. Our pieces, entirely handmade, require 10 days of work to create. They combine the heritage of Moroccan artisans with a bold aesthetic, reinventing the codes of oriental craftsmanship.

Rigorous Step-by-Step Process

Preparation of the Earth
Each piece begins with carefully prepared clay. This process requires several hours of work to ensure the quality of the materials.

Shaping
Our craftsmen shape the round pieces on the lathe, while the square pieces are created via casting.

Natural Drying
The damp rooms are then exposed to the Marrakech sun for natural drying, allowing as much water as possible to be removed.

First Cooking
After 24 hours of drying, the pieces are fired at 1000°C for 24 hours. This produces "biscuits," porous fired pieces with a slightly grainy, matte appearance.

Application of the Reasons
On the biscuits, the patterns are drawn by hand using pigments made in our workshop. This step is carried out by a Master craftsman, the Maâlem , assisted by several apprentices who train alongside him.

Enameling
Each piece is then glazed to vitrify it and protect its illustrations. This glaze also reduces the porosity of the earthenware, allowing it to be used with food and dishwasher-safe for pieces without gold.

Final Cooking
Finally, a final 36-hour firing at 1000°C allows each creation to be finalized.

The Shine of Gold

The ultimate touch to our creations lies in the application of 12-carat gold , a tribute to Morocco's royal heritage. Applied with a brush and revealed during the third firing, the gold enhances each piece, testifying to the dedication of our artisans.

High Quality Materials

We have chosen to import materials to ensure the traceability of the components. Made from white clay imported from Spain , each piece combines aesthetics and durability. Our colored enamels are lead-free, guaranteeing safe use for our customers.
